Brainstorming · in your MindSpace

Give your thought
a shape.

For the idea you can’t
quite explain yet.

Bring a note, a picture or a sketch. See a few directions. Keep the one that feels like you.

Continue with Google. Then choose Brainstorm in your room.

One thought. A few possibilities. You choose what comes next.

At the pace of your thought

Try a direction.
You can change your mind.

You don’t need the whole plan. Just something to respond to—and room to see what happens next.

A closer look at the choices on this board. Hold the direction you want to explore.
  1. Bring a scrap.

A sentence you can’t stop thinking about. A picture you saved. A sketch that makes sense to you. Start there.

  2. See where it could go.

Explore a few visual directions beside each other. Hold the one that catches your eye and follow it a little further.

  3. Leave your mark.

Add a note. Draw over a detail. Change what you want to change. You decide what the thought becomes.

Whatever you’re turning over

Your next idea doesn’t
have to look like anyone else’s.

  • A place you’re imagining.
  • A project taking shape.
  • Something you just want to try.

Before you begin

A little
room for questions.

Do I need to know how to draw?

No. Start with words or an image. Add sketches and notes whenever they help you explain what you mean.

Can I work from an image I already have?

Yes. Bring a reference image onto the board and use it as part of the conversation.

Can I change a direction as we go?

Yes. Hold a sketch you want to develop, add a note or draw over it, and explore the next variation from there.

Where do I find it?

Open MindSpace and choose Brainstorm from your room’s tools. You can create an account or return to your space with Google.
